On the cover this book claims to be "one of the great reference books of
all time. A superb step-by-step guide to creating more than 40 dazzling
designs using ribbon. An essential addition to your library." Strong words
and hard to live up to but the A-Z of Ribbon Embroidery not only meets these claims but in
my humble opinion far exceeds them.
Beginning with the binding, the book has a heavy laminated cardboard cover
that opens to pages that are wire bound allowing the pages to lie flat. It is
printed on heavy slick paper so the book is built to last with constant use.
The pictures are fantastic as are the step-by-step illustrations. With this
book a supply of ribbon and a little time, a complete novice stitcher can be
making beautiful designs in no time at all. The experienced stitcher will refer
to the stitches and designs time and time again. As your first book on ribbon
embroidery or part of an expanding collection, A-Z of Ribbon Embroidery will be a
great asset to your library.
