Two pictures of purse projects I have finished in the last two months.
The small pink purse is a coin neck purse. I am going to South Africa in Mach and made it to take away with me.
The periwinkle purse is not a crazy patch purse but make out of velvet with silk bias cut ribbon and wired edged silk ribbon for the leaves. I distressed the velvet to make it the colour it is using ordinary house bleach it was a dark purple colour. The lace was white and I dyed it to match the colour of the velvet. The design I found in one of Helen Gibbs books. Helen had the instructions on how to distress the velvet.
Just wanted to send some photos for your Readers' Showcase. I guess I may be too late for Christmas, but here is what I have been working on lately.
This is my first real crazy quilt project. When I started working on this pillow I used light green for one or two seam treatments. Then I decided to remove that and to do the whole pillow just in shades of white and cream to achieve an elegant and romantic look. I sewed on a few old laces which I had tea-dyed just a little bit and also used quite some beads which the picture doesn't really show though.
My sister suggested I make us crazy quilted evening bags to use for our upcoming trip to New York City. Since it was her idea, I made hers first with an insect theme.
The back of the insect bag made for one of my sisters.
An evening bag made for another of my sisters. We will be taking a trip to New York City this spring and wanted something that will make us feel very "big city." This bag has a bird theme.

I just finished of my adaption of a half doll. I changed the flowers, the train, added a bodice etc. but still give sincere credit to the original designer Joan Watters in her latest sre book.
This is an ornament I came up with along the same lines of my lampshades.
This is my CQ Christmas tree skirt I finished last night. I
started it last Christmas did not like it very much. Got it out again about 2 weeks ago and while embellishing it got excited about finishing it up to use this year.
Here is a photo of my CQ backpak. I bought one in a store because I thought it would be more sturdy and embellished it.
Here are 2 pictures of a needlecase and 2 others of a CQ box I made as Christmas gifts.
