#2 I have just finished this lovely purse so I would like to have it shown in the next CQMag. This one is for sale - I have access to a lovely little exclusive gift shop here in our town and have placed 5 of my Crazy Quilt purses and have sold 3 so here's hoping this one will sell to.
A photo of a beginners first project and only the second piece I ever did! It was a needlecase for the the CQForNewbies swap.
Hand-dyed carnations deep rose with yellow centre, top of ribbon painted yellow
Silk Ribbon Buds using wide organza ribbon with pre-made satin leaf fine. This is the bottom right corner of the bottom right window pane of my recent work "Window on Spring", a crazyquilted wallhanging which can be seen this month's issue.
Some photos of a doll I made for an on-line challenge. The theme was "Embellished Dolls" and I decided to cover a doll body I'd made, but never finished, with crazy patches. The whole doll other than her face and hands is covered in patchwork. The embroidery is done more or less randomly with back stitch, straight stitch, feather stitch, herringbone stitch and cross stitch, in various colours.
Since the doll bears a resemblance to the incomparable Diana Rigg from The Avengers in her skintight catsuit costume, I named the doll "Emma Peel in Patches."
I've also attached a photo of my first crazy patch project, a tea cosy I made as a gift for my sister.
