The Post Card Birthday card is Crazy Patchwork - with silk
ribbon flower, lace and beads. This I made for my daughter-in-law.
The oval card was made for a friends birthday - I printed the lovely 1920's lady onto a cotton fabric sheet then created the oval with two different braids then placed silk ribbon flowers on top of the braid around the oval.
Here are few pictures of my Kittens on Wool quilt finished in January.
The first is a piece of vintage lace (a flower) that I beaded
for a spring vest. The other two are hankie pillows done in yellows and lavenders.
One is a rose theme and...
...the other is a pansy theme.
This is an oversize queen made as a donation to raise money for my church. I am on the left and the winner of the drawing is to the right. The center of the quilt is made from the wider end of the ties, has 'crazy quilt' stitching between the ties, and the center circle is raised on which I appliqued the tie labels. The corner fans are the short ends of ties, and the serpentine pieces are tie centers. It is free-motion machine outline quilted all over.
